Within the next week, Town of Hurt utility customers will receive their next water bill — this time in a new and different format. To improve service to our citizens and to use their tax money more efficiently, we are converting from letter-in-envelope style billing to that of a perforated postcard.
Our initial target date for mailing out the new bills was Thursday, August 16. We have since experienced some unexpected technical difficulties, resulting in a few days’ delay. Our accounting software company is working diligently, along with our staff, to resolve the issue. At this point, we anticipate being able to print and mail this quarter’s bills in the Aug. 20 to 22 time frame. Should that change, this announcement will be updated accordingly. Also, the due date will be extended proportionately to the delay in mailing.
Everyone is asked to please be on the lookout for this change when going to your mailbox in order to avoid inadvertently discarding the water bill by mistaking it for an advertisement or the like. We hope that everyone will find the new billing simpler and more user-friendly. Should you have questions or need help, please call 608-0554 or email: email@example.com
Cool shade dappled by summer rays make for a peaceful setting at Roosevelt Mattox Park picnic area.
Important Special Notice: If you have not already done so, please begin using the new main numbers: (434) 608-0554 for town hall and (434) 205-1177 for FAX.
